Community guidelines
The Locker Room is the comment section for FieldReport: story threads, game threads, and posts you start yourself. Reading is public. Posting, voting, reacting, and reporting require an account. These terms cover that account and everything you publish with it.
What belongs here
- Debate about games, trades, rankings, and fantasy decisions.
- Disagreement that answers the point, not the person.
- Polls with a real question and honest choices.
What does not
- Harassment, slurs, threats, or sexual content involving anyone.
- Spam, repeated characters, pile-ups of links, or the same post dropped again and again.
- Impersonating another fan, a player, or the desk.
- Anything illegal, including attempts to break into an account that is not yours.
- Full copyrighted articles. Link the source. FieldReport does not host the story.
Accounts
You sign up with an email and a password. The password is stored as a salted hash, and the session lives in an HttpOnly cookie. One person, one account. You are responsible for what that account posts. A suspended account cannot post, and its existing posts come off the public board.
Reports and moderation
Every post and comment has a report button. Use it for spam, harassment, or something that is simply off the board. A short profanity and spam filter rejects some posts before they land, and new posts are rate limited. Those tools miss things. Reports are how the rest gets seen.
Desk staff can hide or delete a post, comment, or poll, and can suspend an account. Hiding removes it from public pages. Deleting removes it. There is no appeal form in this version. If you think a call was wrong, say so from another post without reposting the removed text.
Fantasy lab
Rankings, start/sit leans, and waiver notes are model output from games that have already been played. They are not projections, betting lines, or advice. You can lose a matchup even when the model leans your way.
The desk
Scores, headlines, and the lab come from public ESPN feeds. Team marks and photographs belong to their owners. FieldReport can remove content or close accounts that break these guidelines, and can change the guidelines as the locker room grows. Continuing to post means you accept the version on this page.
